If we do not have enough information about the existing structure, it may be necessary to perform a site visit to determine the proper quote. But if enough information is provided, such as pictures and sketches we may be able to provide a quote without a site visit.
According to the American Institute of Architects and the Florida Engineering Society. Engineers are allowed to do Architectural drawings for one and two single family Homes. In all other the cases, we are allowed to only perform the structural engineering portion of the project.
We only can perform structural engineering, but we can refer you to other companies that perform civil engineering and site plans.
Usually, a licensed contractor or a permit expediting service is responsible for obtaining the permit. Our role does not involve the permitting process; instead, we specialize in providing the essential construction documents required for securing the permit.
You will need to have everything accessible to be seen. If something is hidden it will need to be exposed so that our inspector can look at what needs to be seen.
